Andrea Kade photographs and writes featured content for the largest e-publication in the acclaimed seaside town of Coronado, California. With over 50,000 monthly readers, Andrea’s writing portfolio covers a range of topics including military news, travel, movie reviews, and breaking community stories.

She completed two years as a Teaching Associate (Instructor of Record) in rhetoric and writing and literature at San Diego State University. She received her Master’s degree in English at San Diego State University with a specialization in Children’s Literature and her Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Old Dominion University. Her broad range of interests include rhetoric and composition, speculative fiction, children and YA literature, literary theory, interdisciplinary studies in literature and media, and online instruction.

Andrea co-founded San Diego State University’s English Graduate Student Association and elected to the position of Vice President. She played a key role in planning and organizing the revived Graduate Student Symposium which had been on hiatus for over a decade. As a Graduate Assistant and managing editor for the National Center for the Study of Children’s Literature, Andrea conducted numerous interviews with renowned authors and scholars and reported on sponsored events for the organization and San Diego State University. Her community involvement ranges from volunteer reading tutor for the local school district to assisting other non-profit organizations in her spare time.
